PIMOE - Prolynx Internet Metropolitan Optical Ethernet

Internet Access via Optical Ethernet

Whether you have just one location or many locations connected to our Optical Ethernet network, we can provide you with Internet access.  In addition to your Point to Point or Multi-Point Optical Ethernet link, we can provide Internet access via that link at speeds up to your maximum port speed, and yes, that does include 1Gigabit.

It is up to you to choose the maximum speed that you wish.  In addition, the speed that you choose can be shared amongst all of your connection points at just one shared cost.  We will provide you with Business-Grade Internet access.  This is no wimpy DSL connection, nor is it an unstable T1 connection, this is pure, dedicated speed, maintained and monitored at an extreme level.

We have 3 levels of pricing structure for Internet access via our Optical Ethernet link.

  • Level One: Business-grade High-speed Internet access

This normal network priority business-grade service is for customers that require a fast reliable connection, but are not running mission-critical services that demand high network priority.  The port cross-connect fee and the Internet access fees cost less than 1/4 the price of our Level three service and offers the same up-time service level agreement (SLA.)

Individual customer pricing:

1Mbps: $320.00
2Mbps: $370.00
3Mbps: $420.00
4Mbps: $470.00
5Mbps: $520.00

- PIMOE Cross-Connect port $270 for 5Mbps
(5Mbps minimum PIMOE port speed)
- Internet Access at $50 per 1Mbps
(compare PIMOE pricing of 1.5Mbps Internet access at $345 to T1 access which runs from $499 to $1099)

(At least 4 customers must be active at your location for this pricing.  Alternate pricing is available for single customer use.  We can work with you and your property management and all other tenants in your building to make this a cost effective service for you.)

  • Level Two: ISP Status, high network priority bandwidth staring at 5Mbps

This high network priority bandwidth is priced for ISP's and for anybody needing 5Mbps or more Internet bandwidth.  This service has the same high network priority as our Level three service and is given a bulk discount.  Bandwidth to your location will be matched on a 1 to 1 Internet port for Internet access.  Customers using this service must provide their own email, routing and DNS services.  See our ISP page for more information.

  • Level Three: High network priority bandwidth starting at 1Mbps

This service is ideal for mission-critical Internet applications such as video conferencing and VoIP.  Bandwidth to your location will be matched on a 1 to 1 Internet port for Internet access.  This service includes a FREE 2RU server collocation which will share your bandwidth.  Our Optical Ethernet port is built at full bandwidth rate from your location to ours.  This service is NOT based on any sharing of bandwidth over the Optical Ethernet port for your circuit, like our level one service.  We provide email, DNS and routing service for this account type.

This service is also available to property managers wishing to resell service to their tenants or include Internet access as part of their tenants monthly lease.  We can help property managers in creating a private network on their premise.  This network can create private links to each tenant so tenants will not see each other on the network.

We provide discounts for your Optical Ethernet link when purchasing Internet access or collocation space at our data center.  Discounts are up to 50% for your port at our data center and up to 10% per port at your locations with a maximum of $500.00.  Basically, for every 1 Rack unit of collocation space and for every 1Mbps of Internet Access (in any combination), we reduce your port at our date center by 5% (up to 50%) and we reduce you port cost at your locations by 1% (up to 10%.)

A basic Ethernet switch capable of VLAN tagging is required at all of your links locations.
