T1 and faster Internet access

T1 | IMA T1 (up to 12Mb) | DS-3 | OC-3

Prolynx Internet offers OC-3. DS-3, 1Mbps increment PVC's over ATM (up to 43Mbps) IMA T1 and T1 access throughout Colorado's 303/720 and 970 area codes.

We can bring a single 1.544Mbps T1 circuit, or up to 8 bonded T1's to create a single 12Mbps circuit.  We can also bring to you an ATM PVC from 1Mbps up to 43Mbps as well as full DS-3 and OC-3 Internet bandwidth connected directly from your location to our network.

Be assured that your T1 or greater circuit will not be bottle necked at our network.  Our network is directly connected via Ethernet to dual and redundant OC-192 circuits (2 x 9.6Gbps.)  Our network can handle Gigabit (1,000Mbps) access to the Internet.

High Capacity service pricing varies by location.  Thus there is no way to quote pricing on this page or via a quick phone call.  To acquire a quote for one of these services we will need to know the location that you wish to receive service and then request loop information about that location from the Telco utility.

In addition to circuit fees, your bandwidth requirements must be addressed.  Prolynx Internet sells bandwidth.  Each T1 or greater service is unique.  The cost for any service is dependant on how much bandwidth is utilized and is priced accordingly.  The final monthly cost of T1 or greater service is a combination of your circuit fee plus our bandwidth fee.  Thus if you are a management company providing a single T1 to an entire office complex that houses 200 employees you would expect to pay more than a business person who requires a T1 at home used for telecommuting or stock trading.

T1 vs. DSL

Is a T1 faster than DSL?  We are asked this question quite often but this is not a yes or no question.  A T1 is a business-grade circuit that delivers 1.544Mbps for both download and upload.  A typical DSL circuit can provide speeds up to 7Mbps for downloads, if you are close enough to a Central Office and only deliver up to 1Mbps for upload.  There are also different types of DSL such as ADSL, RADSL, SDSL, VDSL, IDSL, HDSL and others, all with their own pro's and con's for speed, reliability and cost.  A T1 is 1.544Mbps both up and down, no matter your distance from a Central Office.  Your T1 will also see a much faster response time when there is trouble on the line, where DSL is typically a residential-grade service that will see a 24-hour to 48-hour response when it goes down.

Be assured, we are not a middle-man.  Your Internet access via T1 or greater will connect directly to our network.
