Suitable Venue Locations
A suitable
location for a Prolynx Internet enabled HotSpot would
have enough people using our HotSpot services to make a
profit.
A suitable
location would need to be ideal for both Prolynx
Internet and for the venue. A venue that demands
high customer turn-over may not be an ideal match.
Having HotSpot capabilities is considered as an added
service for your venue and invites your customer to stay
longer. HotSpot services also invites customers to
patronize your establishment rather than patronizing
your HotSpot enabled competition.
Prolynx
Internet enabled HotSpot's utilize WiFi™
(802.11x) signals which can travel up to 300 feet
without obstacles and travel less distance within
buildings. WiFi™
signals travel easily through dry-wall and glass, but
through steel. For smaller venues such as cafés
and restaurants, a single, centralized location would be
used to install the HotSpot transmitter. We also
have the ability to use repeaters to cover a larger
areas.
An ideal
venue would have the ability to install DSL, preferable
from Qwest. A venue with high revenue potential
would be eligible for T1, bonded T1 or DS-3 circuit
installation.
Here are
some scenarios that would need
| 1. |
You would provide a
location where people could spend time to
connect their WiFi enabled device and perform
their Internet activities. This could be a
person taking a moment to use their hand-held
device to check their email or stock quotes or
for a person to spend a considerable amount of
time to browse the Internet. |
| 2. |
You would promote
the use of the HotSpot system via methods such
as Table-top advertising, signage in prominent
locations, up-selling at your point of sale,
mentioning the service in your media
advertising, banner advertising visible from the
outside of your establishment, on your web site
and via other forms that may be unique to your
location. |
